Description

WWF believes in a future where people and nature thrive. Best known as the world's leading conservation body, we're committed to safeguarding the natural world and tackling the global threat of climate change. By helping to change the way we live, we'll ease pressure on natural resources.

After many years of campaigning we now have a landmark piece of legislation that could have important consequences for how our seas are managed and how marine wildlife is protected. This is an exciting opportunity for you to be part of a team that is delivering a successful ongoing project funded by a coalition of charitable trusts to deliver our vision of a healthier and more sustainable future for the Welsh marine environment.

To be effective in the role you’ll be able to identify opportunities and use your existing knowledge to develop policy positions whilst working to tight deadlines. You’ll have proven experience of developing and promoting policies in a marine or coastal context and have a sound understanding of the issues surrounding the development of the Marine Act and their relevance to Wales.

Based within WWF Cymru, you will work with colleagues from other Wales Environment Link member organisations so you’ll possess excellent presentation and communication skills.
