Description

We are recruiting a Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator with diving experience to support the implementation of our marine program. Our goal is to restore the reefs of southwest Anjouan through the establishment of permanent community-managed marine reserves, supported by governance strengthening and the development of incentives. You will be based in Mutsamudu, Anjouan where you will join a marine team of sixteen people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee participatory monitoring programs for reefs and fisheries catches, from data collection to analysis and reporting of results
  • Manage dive operations to expand reef monitoring efforts
  • Strengthen team capacity, particularly in data analysis and report writing
  • Contribute to reporting
Profile
  • Master's degree or equivalent in social sciences or natural sciences, ideally specialising in the marine field
  • Skills and experience in data management and analysis
  • Reef monitoring experience, ideally through scuba diving
  • Minimum PADI Divemaster qualification, instructor preferred
  • Strong French required, both spoken and written
Terms
  • Six-month fixed-term contract, renewable
  • Starting date : as soon as possible
    • Salary of 1200 to 1700 euros depending on experience, with return flight and insurance
