Electronics Technician/Environmental Engineer Job Location: Chesapeake VAWork Schedule: Monday-Friday with some weekends as necessary Travel Required: Yes, up to 50% Salary: Commensurate with experience, plus travel expenses Contact Person: LeShan Witherspoon (lwitherspoon@remsainc.com)Date Available: October 1, 2008 REMSA Inc. is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and results oriented Electronics Technician with a background in the area of marine instrumentation to fill an immediate opening. Primary responsibility will be to test and calibrate instrumentation to ensure proper functioning before it is placed in the field. JOB DESCRIPTION:The incumbent will be part of a team of personnel that works to install, maintain, and monitor a platform of highly precise instrumentation that measures a variety of oceanographic parameters throughout the United States. The main focus of this position is to ensure all equipment is operational during the pre-installation phase. The majority of the work will be performed on-site; however, some travel may be required as necessary throughout the Eastern U.S. & Gulf of Mexico.
