Description

The British Antarctic Survey (BAS), part of the Natural Environment Research Council, aims to undertake a world-class programme of scientific research, and to sustain for the UK an active and influential regional presence and a leadership role in Antarctic affairs.

We now require a Marine Assistant to work at our Rothera Research Station, to run the routine biological and oceanography programmes, which include the tasks of aquaria and chemistry lab maintenance, seawater sampling, sediment trapping, ice observations and biological monitoring.

Qualifications: HSE IV/Advanced European Scientific Diver or sport equivalent (3 star CMAS)

HNC / HND / BSc (or equivalent)

Duration: minimum 19 months

Salary: From £21,037.00
