The Key Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer include:
• Developing, evaluating, improving and documenting manufacturing processes; manufacturing lean process

• Design for manufacturability

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the production department and supply chain

• Analyzing and adjusting manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput

• Collaborating with configuration control and design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual manufacturing processes

• Estimating production times and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions

• Lead the development, coordination, and implementation of the technical training for the manufacturing department

• Supporting company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and external audits/certifications

• Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints

• Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.

• Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions

• Manage suppliers’ performance and conduct audits

• Defines, develops and implements quality assurance practices and procedures, test plans and other QA assessments in production and through the supply chain.



Desired Experience: 
• Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering mechanical and power electronics products; wind turbine manufacturing/assembly preferred

• Lean manufacturing experience and training

• Experience with design for cost and manufacturability

• CAD modeling skills with Solid Works preferred

• Able to work to best practice GD&T standards and documentation preferred

• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Well-developed verbal, written, listening and presentation skills are required; in addition to solid interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment

• Proficient computer skills including MS Office products

• Must be physically and mentally capable of performing all aspects of this position specification, to include some long days, and some travel, as needed to accomplish assigned tasks and support the XZERES Team

• Integrity must be above question and there will be a required standard agreement to protect intellectual property

• Comfortable in lean environment – Comfortable working in a high energy lean environment with the ability to work on projects with other team members and limited day-to-day supervision

• BS in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering preferred
