Summary of Essential Job Functions · To ensure favorable results in terms of cost, methods, quality and quantity of production, operations, and personnel.
· Ensure gear cutting and bevel procedures as per standard operating procedures.
· Develop and document standard work for bevel gear manufacturing and for bevel gear routings
· Ensure shop personnel are properly trained.
· Plan and prepare work for gear cutting and bevel personnel.
· Confer with the Materials Manager as to priority of jobs
· Ensure all safety hazards are mitigated or eliminated.
Position Requirements
· Properly and efficiently staff area of responsibility, in order to meet production requirements on a timely basis, as well as meeting productivity goals.
· Assign, instruct, direct and assist employees.
· Maintain equipment and work areas.
· Improve flow and throughput to insure continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery.
· Ensure all products of Brad Foote Gear are manufactured within the parameters established by our ISO 9001 quality guidelines.
Education / Experience
· Bacherlor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Metallurgy or related field.
· Must have Technical background such as, ability to read and understand blueprints, manufacturing processes, use a computer and to work towards productivity improvements.
