My client is a well respected and backed project development company who is currently looking to hire senior management positions across Germany and France. They have an exceptional team of developers who are involved in the development of projects across Europe in the onshore wind market and are looking to expand their senior management team in order to continue this growth. 

Core Criteria:

My client requires a managing director to lead and encourage development of initial relationships with manufacturers, developers and operators of wind turbines. This position would require travel throughout Europe with a strong focus on the Germany and France. You will be required to be involve in long contract negotiations and be expected to have a strong knowledge of the French onshore wind market.

Responsibilities:-

•             You will be entirely responsible for the company in France, including managing the team of contract negotiators, business development leaders, engineers and the wind farm developers

•             You will oversee the development of initial relationships with developers, operators, manufacturers and investors of onshore wind project in order to achieve the end result of project development in the onshore wind market in the region

•             You will travel extensively across the Germany and France developing and maintaining key relationships in the wind market

•             You will demonstrate ability to lead negotiations team towards results that will ensure company project development across Europe

•             Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness

•             You will have full authority to represent my client in all matters relating to securing future projects in the Europe onshore wind market and leading a team of negotiators throughout the process

•             Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the wind energy company and that your team is performing within the framework of the company

•             Manage a pipeline across Europe that supports the company’s growth strategy in onshore wind projects

•             Work with the technical, legal and projects teams providing support through the entire development process

•             You will securing multi million Euro(€) contracts with operators, developers and manufacturers of onshore wind projects

•             You will focus on multiple projects with the ability to manage individuals who are working independently and do not require micro-management

Education:-

A MSc minimum in engineering field or equivalent

Core Requirements:-

•             You will have 2-4 years business development or country management experience in the onshore wind market

•             You will have worked in the wind industry for 6-8 years with a focus in the onshore market

•             An excellent understanding of regulatory requirements in the onshore wind industry in Europe

•             Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization

•             Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities

General Requirement

•             Ability to travel across Europe

•             Proficient with making impactful presentations

•             The ability to manage multiple teams with various skill sets across the company

•             Excellent ability to communicate and work in English and French is a must with the ability to communicate in German a bonus

Key Skills:-

Energy, renewable energy, construction, negotiations experience, business development, sales of wind turbines on large wind projects, exceptional team leadership skills, project managers, experience with complex contact negotiations and complex stakeholder and customer management experience.
