My client is a market leader in the international wind industry, they have developed, manufactured and produced some of the most widely used turbines in the market. As a major player in the onshore wind market my client is a company that can offer exciting opportunities in the wind sector. They have developed and installed a large number of the wind farms and are a strong customer focused company who aims to work at the highest level and ensure that their company name remains a recognised brand in the wind sector.
Core Criteria:
My client requires a managing director that has experience and skills in encouraging the growth of onshore and offshore wind projects in the USA, with a proven track record in leading and managing sales teams within the energy sector. This position will require strong commercial expereince along with technical knowledge and expereince managing a growing team in the offshore wind market. You will report directly to the Global Accounts Manager for one of the major players in the wind industry along with the Board of Director in Europe.
Responsibilities:-
- · Responsible for the growth of the company in the USA including manginag the enitre development process from business development through to project construction
- · You will ensure that your team is involved in developing initial relationships with developers, operators, manufacturers and investors of wind project
- · Travel extensively across the USA meeting with potential customers in order to encourage the growth of project developments across the USA
- · Manage the teams of negotiators, engineers, developers and support staff
- · Full authority to represent my client in all matters across the company in the US
- · You will need to have the ability to manage an entire team while ensuring that the company continues to grow across the USA.
Education:-
An MSc minimum in engineering or business degree.
Core Requirements:-
- You will have 2-4 years experience in a senior management position or vice president level position in the US wind market
- · You will have worked in the wind industry for 6-14 years minimum
- · Extensive contacts in the USA energy sector
- · An excellent understanding of regulatory requirements in the wind industry in the US
- · Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
- · Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
General Requirement
- Ability to travel inetrnationally
- · Proficient with making impactful presentations
- · The ability to manage multiple teams with various skill sets across the company
Key Skills:-
Energy, renewable energy, construction, negotiations experience, business development, sales of wind turbines or large wind projects, exceptional team leadership skills, project managers, utilities, developer, experience with complex contact negotiations and complex stakeholder and customer management experience.
