Manager, User Experience

We are looking for a Manager of User Experience to build our UX approach and define best practices in all UX disciplines. You will work in an agile environment and play a critical role in defining Recyclebank’s approach to engaging our members across our digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong customer focus and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of the user experience and site architecture for all our digital experiences.
• Translate business requirements and user needs, tasks and goals into meaningful interactive experiences that can be monetized.
• Develop testing and prototype methodologies, and perform ongoing usability research on prototypes and iterative designs.
• Design IA and UX for transactional, informational and promotional sites including concept models, UX documentation, site maps, user flows and case rules, UX/UI competitive landscape.
• Analyze web traffic data to understand member usage patterns, performance and trends.
• Mobile app and mobile web design experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• 4+ years of experience designing and prototyping rich internet applications, data visualization interfaces and platform level tools.
• Experience designing social applications for both web and mobile platforms.
• Concrete experience doing usability studies, personas studies, remote user-testing.
• Solid Information architecture skills and user centered interaction design experience.
• Deep knowledge of visual designs best practice.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects with varying deadlines.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Human Factors or related field.
• Expert knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Visio/OmniGraffle and working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Flash, After Effects and content management systems.
