The position is responsible for overall coordination of the GBRMPA's scientific programme, with particular emphasis on coordinating funding decisions, contract and grant management, general delivery of scientific information for Marine Park management, and delivery of information for the Outlook Report. This includes working in partnership with the community of researchers working on the Great Barrier Reef; and interpreting, synthesising and disseminating information.
