Created in 1948, IUCN has evolved into the world’s largest and most diverse environmental network. It harnesses the experience, resources and reach of its 1,400 Member organisations and the input of some 16,000 experts. IUCN is the global authority on the status of the natural world and the measures needed to safeguard it. Our experts are organised into six commissions dedicated to species survival, environmental law, protected areas, social and economic policy, ecosystem management, and education and communication.
This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and ambitious fundraiser to join IUCN’s Strategic Partnerships team. The Manager, Philanthropy will support the implementation of IUCN’s resource mobilization strategy with a view to growing and diversifying revenue streams through the development of strategic engagements with influential and high profile individuals, grant making foundations and trusts and in the USA. As a member of the Strategic Partnerships Unit, and in coordination with the Director of the North American Office, the Manager will develop and oversee a program to maximise support from these funding streams.
