Job Summary: Manage Ducks Unlimited’s Southern Regional Office lands conservation program. This regional, multi-state, land conservation program includes conservation easements, fee-title land acquisition, mitigation lands and revolving lands (acquisition/restoration/resale). Position also involves assisting State and Federal conservation partners with land acquisition and protection projects. Incumbent will train and supervise regional staff relative to DU and Wetlands America Trust (WAT) conservation easement and land acquisition procedures. In coordination with GIS staff, will develop and oversee a comprehensive land protection strategy to maximize program benefits to both wetlands and wildlife. Serve as primary regional staff contact, with national land protection staff located in Memphis, TN. relative to biological matters involving conservation easement and other land protection programs. This position will be located in Ridgeland, MS and will report to the Director of Conservation Services.
