Manager of Conservation Programs Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the world’s leading wetland and waterfowl conservation organization, is seeking qualified candidates for a Manager of Conservation Programs for its Colorado and Wyoming Programs. DU’s mission is to conserve, restore, and manage wetlands and associated habitats for North America’s waterfowl. These habitats also benefit other wildlife and people. DU’s Colorado and Wyoming programs focus on protecting and restoring critical wetland complexes on the eastern plains river corridors and in the intermountain valleys of these two states. We are seeking an individual with proven skills in strategic planning, land protection, collaborative leadership and partner development, and programmatic fundraising to help lead implementation and growth of these programs. Preference will be given to applicants with an advanced degree, preferably in the natural resources, environmental sciences, ecology, or management and business administration. Candidates must have excellent communications skills and be able to work independently and as a member of a diverse team. The ideal candidate will have experience in land conservation, fundraising, and strategic planning. Duties will include:
The position will be located in Ft. Collins, Colorado and will report to the Director of Conservation Programs in Grand Island, Nebraska. Minimum qualifications Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent required. Master of Science degree in wildlife management, ecology or a closely related natural resources field preferred. At least 5 years of related experience required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
