The post will be responsible to the Galloway Forest Visitor Development Project Board and be required to deliver - if funding is confirmed by Nov 2011 - the entire development project. However, in the time period of this post you will be responsible for the design, planning and production of the final business case of the project. This will include community liaison meetings, all and any board and affiliated meetings and communicating with all the relevant framework contractors.
The project is the modernisation of the three exisiting visitor centres by extending Glentrool VC, enhance and extending Clatteringshaws VC and rebuilding Kirroughtree VC with a project budget of £4.5m. The successful applicant will use the SCAPE national procurement framework for the public sector to procure the design, construction and associated services. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of: all proceedings, costs, files, records, risk register and associated project management documentation. You will have acess to administration support from the district who you will manage in conjunction with the office manager.
