Description

Conservation International is committed to conserving biodiversity and delivering human well-being through targeted investments and industry leading evaluation. Front and center to this commitment is developing and implementing rigorous yet practical M&E frameworks to measure the influence of actions on biodiversity and human well being. The position of Manager, Intervention Monitoring & Evaluation presents an opportunity to build on CI’s impact evaluation frameworks, working with a dynamic team of project staff, field implementers, research ecologists and evaluation specialists. This position will have access to all parts of CI and work with projects that span intervention type, geographies and ecological systems in which CI works. This is a high-profile, mid-level position in a dynamic Division with significant opportunity for growth.

To fulfill essential responsibilities, we seek project management and evaluation expertise to fill a Manager position based in our Science and Knowledge Division (S&K) and working with all investment facilities within EFD (but primarily the Global Conservation Fund [GCF], and Verde Ventures [VV]) to support all M&E and reporting needs. The position will also develop and sustain relationships with clients / grantees and donors to ensure that accurate information is relayed in meaningful and understandable language. This position will report to the Director, Conservation Monitoring and directly support the GCF and VV Fund managers on portfolio and project monitoring and evaluation.

Primary duties include supporting strategy development and M&E at various levels, from projects (e.g., a protected area or conservation enterprise) to funding programs (e.g., GCF or VV). The position requires a high level of interaction with all funds within the Ecosystem Finance Division, and may represent CI externally in interactions with conservation and development partners engaged in impact evaluation, CI grantees and implementing partners.
