Description

The Manager, Global PMO Office will be responsible for project management and business analysis tasks related to projects within the IT project portfolio. In addition the position will work with the Senior Director, Global PMO to develop project management and business analysis standards and templates and mentor staff on the use of techniques and templates.

 

This individual will need to have a good understanding of both business and technology processes to be able to explain the business needs to the technology teams. Similarly, the candidate would be able to understand and present back technological concepts to the EDF users. The candidate should be able to develop trust quickly by demonstrating sincere interest in the business and to empathetically relate to the business pains expressed. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as link between the business units and IT staff. Work closely with business units to understand how they operate in order to best help meet their needs.
  • Lead implementation of software projects in a project management capacity
  • Liaise with team members and project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Communicate information regarding work plans, schedules, and related requirements
  • Drive the requirements gathering process, work with business units to determine needs for new applications and features and enhancements to existing applications
  • Lead  QA process for application implementations and deployments
  • Create and Maintain documentation including, business requirements documents, functional specifications, use cases, project plans, test plans and user guides.
  • Work with Senior Director, Global PMO to develop project management standards, templates and processes for the IT department.
  • Assist Senior Director, Global PMO with development of project portfolio road maps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7- 10 years of Business Analysis and/or Project Management experience
  • Awareness of project management methodologies such as waterfall and agile
  • Ability to grasp new concepts and technologies quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written skills 
  • Ability to translate between business process and technology
  • Attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Ability to prioritize and manage own time based on the business needs
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient at writing user stories, business and functional requirements documents, and test plans
  • Ability to work with both business users and technology teams remotely
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira and MS Project
