The Development Manager for the Africa and Madagascar Field Division reports to the Director of Development for the region and works in close coordination with country program leadership and relevant Headquarters staff to fully engage in raising millions of dollars annually from government agencies, private foundations, corporations and individuals in support of Conservation International’s conservation objectives. The Development Manager provides key fundraising assistance, guidance and expertise to the country’s programs of the division and to the Director of Development for the Field Division. There are six country programs in the Africa and Madagascar Field Division: Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, Liberia, Botswana, and, Madagascar. The Manager works in a team environment to serve a regional need for coordinated fundraising efforts in the Field Division. In addition to being fully engaged in the development functions, the Manager is also responsible for some fundraising and operational work for the country programs.
