[Operating as one of the 14 business units at Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Vestas Offshore A/S focuses exclusively on selling, constructing and operating wind power plants at sea. With offices based in Denmark, the Netherlands, China, North America, Germany and the United Kingdom, we are responsible for Vestas’ involvement of offshore wind power plants worldwide.

Responsibilities:
The construction management department is an independent and experienced team with focus on high knowledge and team spirit in the construction work on- and offshore and also supporting the Vestas Offshore business in different tasks. We are looking for an inspiring manager to motivate and develop the department to the next level and ensure high quality in the construction work, with focus on safety and continuous improvement in all aspects. You will be a part of the management team in Operations Support where you will play a central role.
You will be responsible for:
  • Daily management of the department
  • Developing and motivating the colleagues in the department
  • Managing the focus on continuous improvement throughout the organization to ensure accuracy, profitability and a competitive edge
  • Prioritizing and defining the department focus and tasks
  • Developing and implementing initiatives supporting the Vestas Offshore business
  • Project management
  • Engaging with key stakeholders
  • Driving innovation of new methods and processes
  • Striving for world class execution of the projects.

Essential skills:

  • Strong communicator and international mind set
  • Experience and proven success with implementing new systems, processes, procedures and general improvements
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Strong understanding of general construction and project management
  • Proactive approach and a constant strive for excellence and knowledge sharing
  • Offshore knowledge is preferred
  • This position will require regular travel – more than 30 days per year
  • Build and maintain excellent relations with stakeholders
  • Fluent in English and preferably German, oral and written
