Description

Reporting to the VP Marketing & Client Engagement, the Manager, Client Engagement has primary accountability for on boarding new clients in the travel and tourism sector and deepening relationships with existing clients/partners (consulting, offset, co brand and event partners), specifically VANOC. The Manager, Client Engagement has responsibility for growing revenues through effective customer relationship management strategies. With a solid understanding of the carbon measurement and offset sourcing, as well as superior commercial skills the role is critical for enhancing customer loyalty, customer retention and growing share with each Offsetter partner.

Specific responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop client/partner annual forecasts and revenue projections for travel/tourism partners for Offsetters annual revenue plan. Measure and report out on performance to plan on a quarterly basis.
  • Develop and execute industry appropriate client relationship management strategies and tactics to maximize customer loyalty and increase customer value.
  • Onboard new clients/partners to ensure successful start to relationship.
  • In conjunction with travel/tourism sector partners and Marketing, develop and execute co-brand marketing plans.
  • Acts as internal advocate within Offsetters for each client and is primary external advocate for Offsetters with each client.
  • Support business development role with both reactive and proactive proposal development.
  • Ensure monthly sales reporting and invoicing is accurate and timely.
  • Ensure that all client/partner reporting is up to date and visible internally (client synopsis, contact reports, and sales force).
  • Stays abreast of industry knowledge with disciplined tracking of clients business and competitors, Offsetters competitors and key industry trends.
  • Supports VP Marketing & Client Engagement in other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications & Attributes:

  • University degree in Marketing, Commerce or Business Administration.
  • Environmental sciences understanding an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in client relations/account management role in the travel/tourism sector.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a client/relations/account management role with clients considered global brands.
  • Experience working directly with various organizational levels of clients required.
  • Proficient at setting robust and realistic goals
