As Manager of the Carbon Resource Management Department you will be expected to lead by example, by maintaining a high quality impactful research program, and helping Department research staff develop their careers to their fullest potential. Other responsibilities include:
-Develop market knowledge and communicate opportunities to Department and Division staff.
-Assist research staff in acquiring new projects and growing existing projects into programs.
-Actively engage with research staff and Managers across the Division, Directorate and Laboratory to identify and act on opportunities for synergy and cooperation.
-Fully support and participate in INL¿s engagement with state, regional and national research organizations in areas relevant to unconventional fossil energy.
-Participate in the development of Division and Directorate research strategies and other planning activities.
-Keep Division Director well informed about accomplishments and other issues within the Department. Make sure that research staff is kept well informed about all relevant developments and opportunities within the Laboratory.
-Evaluate performance of Department personnel in a fair and objective manner and keep personnel informed about their performances.
-Provide support for special tasks as assigned.
-Develop new capabilities associated with Department and Laboratory mission.
-Ensure that all activities within the Department are conducted in a safe and environmentally sound manner
