Job Overview:
As a key member of Comverge Corporate Marketing team, you will develop and coordinate Public Relations and communications strategies and campaigns in support of the corporate business goals and objectives:
- Develop the corporate communications plan that drives awareness of the company and its solutions.
- Assume responsibility for writing and editing press releases, scripts, internal communications, media pitches and C-Level correspondence.
- Assist in development of launch strategies as it relates to media and analyst relations – including social media.
- Work closely with key company employees to develop messaging.
- Work closely with C-Level and executive staff on corporate communications.
- Ensure all Comverge spokes people maintain consistent stance on key issues.
- Oversee and manage the public relations agency.
- Will need to build and manage internal and external relationships through strong management, team building and strong strategic management skills.
- Manage article placement and executive interviews and ensure adherence to corporate identity standards.
- Develop and supervise maintenance of computer database of media and editorial contacts.
- Assist in research regarding new market trends and market reaction to promotional activities in order to recommend strategy adjustments.
- Supports all internal communications strategies and ensures proper execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Public Relations, Journalism or Communications.
- Proven track record in (minimum 6+ years), managing publicity campaigns at a reputable agency or corporation.
- Experience working with outside media contacts. Clean Tech/Energy specific experience a plus.
- Must have excellent writing skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Self-starter as well as a motivator for agency direct reports.
- Experience defining new markets and launching new solutions into evolving markets
- Proven decision-making, networking and communication skills.
