Management Internships at Beach Resort

Castaway Resort is a busy designer beach resort on a small popular island in Thailand. They offer internships on yearly basis. They accept applications between June and August each year for the following season that begins in October through to May the following year.

The resort has 40 bungalows and a restaurant with 120+ seats. The stylish restaurant is open all day long and serves Thai food and a few western dishes. 

Koh Lipe Thailand (also written as ‘Ko Lipe’) is a small Thai island with beautiful beaches surrounded by pristine coral reefs. Koh Lipe is part of the Tarutao National Marine park and is next to a group of uninhabited islands with deserted beaches, waterfalls and breathtaking viewpoints to visit.

At Castaway Resort the spirit of ‘The Beach’ is brought to life. Amid the beautiful setting nature has given Koh Lipe, their spacious wooden bungalows and large chill out deck overlooking the beach definitely make Castaway the most atmospheric of Koh Lipe’s resorts.

They are looking for a friendly sociable people with Basic English, who would like to live and work on the beautiful island of Koh Lipe and be a part of their multi-national team. Great learning opportunities, supportive management and basic salary.

Responsibilities: work with resort management to achieve goals and targets set by upper management; when on duty oversee the smooth operation of the resort; ordering food and beverage from their suppliers; arrival and departure of guests; assisting in the preparation of documents for monthly tax submissions; taking care of the guests’ inquiries about the island and resort; assisting in organizing events (blessing ceremonies, barbeques, group meals, etc); general support of running the resort. As a valued member of the Castaway team, present yourself and behave in a professional manner at all times with customers and colleagues

Interns receive a starting base salary of 6,000-10,000 Thai Baht per month, a share of the performance based management bonus (November-April), free shared accommodation, 2 meals a day, scuba diving qualification, and discounted transportation to and from the mainland.
