Greenpeace works to protect the natural world and find solutions to environmental problems.  To maintain our independence we don’t accept money from government or corporations and rely solely on individual supporters to fund our essential work.  We are currently seeking an experienced Fundraiser to join our inspirational team working for a green and peaceful future.

The Major Gifts Manager is responsible for generating bequest, major gift & mid-donor income from an assigned portfolio of donors. The role also involves the development and implementation of a variety of marketing and stewardship techniques, to ensure long-term association and support with existing high value individual supporters as well as engaging and recruiting new prospective donors.

To be successful in this exciting new opportunity you will need at least two years’ experience managing relationships with high level donors or customers and demonstrated experience in high-level fundraising in the not-for-profit sector.  You’ll also need experience in preparing cases for support, tenders or applications for funding, tact, discretion and diplomacy as well as well-honed negotiation and influencing skills.  A passion for the mission and ideals of Greenpeace is also essential.

As well as the opportunity to make a difference on crucial issues, Greenpeace offers employees a supportive work environment and a real commitment to life/work balance.  We also encourage staff to develop new skills, take on challenges and get involved in the wider organisation.
