M.S graduate assistantship to estimate bobcat population size in central Wisconsin beginning mid-January 2011. Student will be designing a sampling strategy using scat detecting dogs on transects, directing dog activities, conducting DNA lab analysis of fecal material, and deriving population estimates using continuous-occasion capture-mark-recapture estimators.
