Job opportunity: Low Carbon Finance - Senior Policy Adviser About the Role: E3G is seeking a Senior Policy Adviser with around 5 years work experience and a background in economics to join its London team. We are seeking someone who will enhance our analytical capacity and who wants to develop their own capacity to influence and deliver change. The role will require some European travel. We are looking for an individual who will help the Low Carbon Finance Programme Leader develop a growing programme of work on financing low carbon infrastructure. The successful applicant must be confident in leading analytical processes and managing ad hoc collaboration with peers and will undertake a range of activities including: About You: You are a highly motivated self-starter with a strong interest in the economic opportunities and challenges around developing a low carbon economy in Europe. You are a creative thinker, able to learn fast and to work flexibly with a range of people. You are prepared to go the extra mile to deliver high quality outputs to challenging deadlines. You are comfortable with complex research projects and have excellent numeracy skills. The work you will undertake will make full use of your analytical, research and communication skills. You will be able to identify and engage with a range of external stakeholders to effectively communicate your ideas and findings to a varied audience. Degree-level and post-graduate level qualifications are required, including a strong grounding in Economics. Sound knowledge of MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel − preferably with modelling skills − is required. Terms: This position is programmed for 2 years, on a renewable one year contract, starting as soon as possible. This position is based in E3G’s London office.
