Full time, fixed term contract until May 2013 to cover a maternity leave

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead on the delivery of our Low Carbon Farming project. You will work to inspire, inform and empower producers to adopt low carbon farming techniques and to monitor and reduce their use of non renewable resources.

As part of an integrated project with Duchy College, Camden BRI and the Ashden Trust you will be working with Soil Association producer members and other farmers to increase awareness of the benefits of low carbon farming techniques based on organic farming method

You will facilitate the development of producer learning networks, produce high quality technical literature and deliver workshops promoting best practice low carbon farming. You will also be responsible for the delivery of the project objectives, financial monitoring and reporting requirements of the project.

Educated to degree level or equivalent you will have good knowledge of a range of farming practices, sound understanding of the principles of organic food and farming and detailed knowledge of carbon equations relating to agriculture.

Self motivated and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, you will be an excellent relationship builder and a confident communicator.
