In this project, you will be volunteering your time and energy to protect the endangered loggerhead turtle inItaly. You don’t need any special skills to be a volunteer, just enthusiasm and a willingness to lend a hand and work with tourists.
Main activities are data collection on stranded turtles in the morning and on animal incidentally caught in fishing nets in the afternoon. Together with awareness activities for tourists and education for children. Besides these main activities, we organize awareness events on the beach such as turtle party involving also the local people, workshop and “turtles games” for children staying at the Camping. We conduct conservation talk in hotel or camping sites and we sell gadgets in a small kiosk. A day onboard of fishing boat will be planned according to boat availability.
