Friends of the Earth inspires solutions to environmental problems – we stand for justice for people and the planet. Our group has a long history of successfully campaigning on local and national environmental issues, from climate change to local transport issues.
The hope is to create a new group in Watham Forest so this is a real opportunity for you to get stuck in with your ideas and skills to help evolve something great right from the beginning!
We are looking for a group of new organisers to develop the group and run creative and effective campaigns. We are recruiting for people to help in a diverse range of areas to help us run smoothly – whatever your skills and interests, we’ve got a role for you.
Depending on your skills and interests, the role could involve:
Organizing events
Maintaining the mailing list
Facilitating public meetings
Running local campaigns
Fundraising
Writing press releases
Developing the website and social media presence
Photography and filming at events
Designing publicity materials
Liaising with outside groups and alliance-building
