Local Adviser – Various Locations
£4,934 a year for 18 working days

Strathclyde & Ayrshire, Grampian, Western Isles, Northern Isles, West Highland

We are looking to appoint a member’s to our group of Local Advisers which is a committee of the SNH Board. As a Local Adviser you will promote SNH’s key messages at a local level - maintaining SNH’s openness and accessibility to the public - as well as feedback to our staff and Board on the effectiveness of SNH policies and actions.

It is important that you live in or have a clear current connection with the area that you wish to apply for. Along with a good grasp of local social, economic and environmental issues you will require effective presentation, communication, brokering and advocacy skills and it’s likely you’ll be connected to the political system. You will also have the ability to build on and manage relationships with an established network of key local decision makers.
