The Local Account Manager reports to the Director of Community Engagement and is responsible for building and retaining partnerships with local merchants in cities across the country. The Local Account Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to; effectively retaining all local businesses and maximizing these relationships in all markets by utilizing existing tools to report key metrics on a regular basis. The necessity to negotiate new offers and discounts are critical to the Local Account Manager’s success. Selling unique new promotional opportunities is another essential function of this role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Send a high volume of outbound emails to a variety of local business owners across multiple cities in the U.S.
  • Educate your clients on the benefits of online advertising and present Recyclebank as a unique way for businesses to acquire new customers.
  • Communicate ongoing contact and sales activities utilizing Salesforce.com
  • Work in concert with Director of Community Engagement to develop and maintain partners in all markets while developing new opportunities for relationship maximization.
  • Work closely with marketing, rewards, and data departments to ensure implementation of Recyclebank’s contractual obligations to clients.
  • Maintaining and growing relationships in conjunction with the lead on the account.
  • Critically analyze client performance metrics to identify the specific needs of the client.
  • Working with the Director of Community Engagement to address needs and implementing processes necessary for their fulfillment.

Candidate must have a proven track record of success in managing relationships and hitting deliverables consistently. The ideal candidate is passionate about our business, enjoys interacting with people across the country, and has the ability to thrive in a fast-growing small business environment.   • Excellent oral and written communications. Making effective and persuasive speeches and presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: interacting effectively with people of diverse levels and backgrounds.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills: prioritizing and addressing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Analyzing data and solving problems resulting in effective business decisions.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Self motivation and an ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a constantly changing environment
  • Entrepreneurially inclined with a desire to work in a start-up environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3-5 years of account management and/or sales experience
