The Light Pollution Technical Officer is a full-time position as part of BirdLife Malta’s LIFE Arcipelagu Garnija project, which aims to secure the Maltese Islands for the Yelkouan Shearwater. The job entails a focused approach in assessing and reducing light pollution that effects seabird colonies in Malta as part of the project’s core conservation actions. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of initiative and conscientious approach who will to strive for positive outcomes with all key stakeholders. Candidates need to be conversant with BirdLife Malta’s main objectives related to the conservation of seabirds as well as knowledge on the challenges faced.
