Assist Life Net's Ecuadorian field staff with an exciting expedition monitoring birds at Loma Alta, Ecuador, an IBA located in the Tumbesian Endemic Bird Area. The team will monitor birds along an elevational gradient from dry forest to cloud forest. Experience with mist-netting, birding, and bilingual ability in Spanish and English are desirable. Volunteers must pay their own way to Ecuador, travel to Loma Alta on their own, and pay $600 to cover food, mules, local cook's salary, and to help cover costs for mules to carry supplies during the expedition. Your donation is tax deductible and helps create a local conservation economy. If you are looking for experience with tropical ecosystems and ornithological field methods, this is an amazing opportunity. You must be over 21 to participate. For more information see "curso del campo" online.
