Learning Programme Teachers Part-time (mostly weekdays and term-time only) Pro-rata / hourly salary based on £22,056 – £26,712 per annum Permanent posts- Starting beginning of Dec 13 / Jan 14 Looking for a challenge in teaching? This is a unique opportunity to work in a diverse, inspirational and exciting environment. Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is the world-leader in plant and fungal conservation and science, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with learning at the core. Schools are integral to our work and vision, with a broad curriculum linked programme for visiting schools which spans Reception, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary education (85,000 participants per annum). With a focus on inquiry based learning, our programmes aim to build, inspire and develop lifelong connections with the natural world. We are looking for experienced and innovative educators, with a passion for outdoor learning for all. The role requires creative, organised, flexible and inspirational team players with a good knowledge of the natural environment.
