The Job The Learning and Development Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering the DECC learning and skills strategy and the wider approach to talent management and leadership development. We are looking for someone who can develop a strategy that will enable DECC to invest our resources where they are most likely to have a real impact in improving our organisational performance. A key element of this will be to promote an approach that builds a learning culture and ensures that the individuals in the department maximise the return on the investment in their development.
The strategy must also address the needs this new department going through a period of transition as it builds its own unique identity, purpose and values. We will want to identify and develop talent using processes which promote equality of opportunity and enhance the diversity of our workforce.
