Essex Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity.  It has more than 37,000 members, manages and protects over 8,400 acres of land on 87 nature reserves and 2 nature parks and runs 11 visitor centres.  The aim of Essex Wildlife Trust is to Protect Wildlife for the Future and for the People of Essex.  It is supported financially by members, local businesses and grant making organisations.  It is one of the largest of the 47 county wildlife trusts that work together throughout the British Isles as The Wildlife Trusts.

As a key member of the Landscape Conservation management team, based at Abbotts Hall Farm, the postholder will oversee Landscape Conservation in the North East area of Essex. This will be overseen through effective team management, leading on favourable status habitat and species management of the EWT area landholdings and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of the Trust’s County conservation and people engagement objectives. Including acting as Landscape Conservation advisor to Abberton Reservoir and Fingringhoe Wick Visitor Centres and overseeing agricultural and conservation delivery at Abbotts Hall Farm.
