Land Based Instructor Technician
(Technician 3: Instructor-Technician)
Required from: Mid-October
Contract type:  Full time (a fractional position may be considered based on area expertise only)
Contract term:  Fixed – term 
Salary: Band 30-36 – £18,141 – £21,755 pro rata
(Salary dependent on qualifications and experience)

This is a full time post combining elements of instructor, technician and student support work as part of the teaching team in our expanding Land Based vocational area. The role includes:-

• To prepare & lead groups of students to develop the range of practical skills associated with their courses
• To provide day to day administration of the land based resources to support the achievement of academic goals.
• To provide practical & technical support for academic staff and students on all land based courses and enrichment in line with College and Faculty policy and objectives. 
• Marketing the Land Based course to raise the profile & engage prospective learners with the sector

This is an innovative post, with scope for the successful candidate to show initiative in developing and taking on responsibility in the role. We are looking for a candidate with real enthusiasm, interest and wide experience in the land based area who is keen to pass this on to young adult learners.
