Our client a young and dynamic biotechnology company is looking to fill the position of Laboratory Manager for the area of Pretoria. They have recently established a new Floriculture Biotechnology Laboratory and are looking for a dynamic individual to manage the new laboratory. Requirements: · A MSc in a relevant field (Biological Sciences, Biotechnology or Plant Science) or equivalent· Minimum of 3-5 years experience within a Laboratory Management position Responsibilities: · Obtaining consumables, scientific equipment and services as required by the lab staff· Administering the procurement systems· Examining bids and awarding contracts concerning consumables, scientific equipment and services· Co-ordinating purchases with all staff t maintain inventory at planned levels· Arranging the servicing of lab equipment· Supporting research staff in their work on plant tissue culture and molecular genetics· Preparing technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses· Maintain familiarity with current scientific literature A market related package is offered If you feel that you suitably fit the above requirements then please forward a comprehensive CV to candicew@caneviro.co.za Please note that should you not be contacted within 2 weeks; please consider your application as unsuccessful.
