A self-starting dynamic presenter to deliver ACE multimedia presentations on climate change to high school students in the Greater Los Angeles Area.

You’ll be in the field with high school students, communicating the essential science of climate change in a lively, fun and unforgettable way. Following presentations, you will be working with students to develop ACE Action Teams that work on a variety of climate projects, from recycling and composting programs to organizing  green proms. 

Our Educators work from home when they’re not giving presentations, meet about once a week with the local team, and convene occasionally with other regional teams. We require a self-starter who is able and willing to work independently.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Self-managing—you’ll need to manage a wide variety of projects with clear and constant communication while working from a home office
  • Dynamic presentation style, engaging personality
  • Terrific oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task. Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated 
  • Comfortable working in a remotely managed small team 
  • Solid understanding of global climate change and the youth environmental movement
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and iWork 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel around the region 

Supporting Qualifications:

  • Education experience working with high school age students
  • Familiarity with the LA area school systems and local NGO community
  • Experience in presentation and/or public performance
  • Experience working with diverse communities
  • Proficiency in Spanish language
  • Public relations experience
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com
  • Schedule: Full-time position, 40 hours per week 
  • Salary: Commensurate with Experience
  • Start Date:  Immediately
