Salary: £17,874 - £19,347 per annum

The Conservation Volunteers is the UK’s leading practical conservation charity working with people from all sectors of the community in positive action to improve the environment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in Birmingham as a KRAFT Green Gym Project Officer.

The role will involve managing the day-to-day implementation of the Conservation Volunteers Health for Life Green Gym project and to work towards three principles of the programme, healthy eating, growing healthy food and increasing physical activity in community members residing in the 5 wards surrounding the Kraft/Cadbury Factory based in Birmingham. You will be responsible for planning and researching new Green Gym tasks and sites and to run and supervise the Health for Life Green gym session groups. You will recruit, induct and support individuals and volunteers and indentify and plan a programme of activities to improve the local environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience of food growing and managing allotments. You will have the ability to plan, organise and run local events as well as lead and support small groups and individuals. You will have a clear interest and enthusiasm for the environment and the ability to motivate others.

35 Hours per week.
