Knowledge Officer

We are looking to recruit a Knowledge Officer and a Data and Information Officer to work within the Core Directorate of the Scottish Centre of Expertise on Climate Change. These are two of four posts currently being recruited in relation to the centre.

The Centre of Expertise is an exciting new multi million pound initiative which is being established to improve the delivery of effective climate change and low carbon research data, information and knowledge to the Scottish Government, as well as to other partners such as local government. The work of the Centre is ambitious, and is designed to stimulate innovative thinking in support of policy development and implementation.

Fixed term: Funding for these posts has been offered for three years, but will be reviewed at the end of Year 1 to ensure alignment with policy needs and Spending Review 2011 outcomes. As a result, the post is a fixed term appointment until 31 March 2012, with an expectation that this post will continue until 31 March 2014.
