Description
This new seasonal post has been designed to assist the permanent Ranger in the management of our unique Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre. Duties include:

" Running environmental education activities for school groups, community groups and the wider public
" Co-ordinating habitat creation
" Practical conservation tasks
" Managing and supporting a wide range of volunteers
" Membership recruitment

Applicants should be educated to HNC level in Countryside Management (or equivalent). Experience or a strong interest and background in environmental/community education, excellent communication and proven experience in site management is essential, as is a full driving licence.

Duration: Ranger posts will be for c6 months starting March 2010 (final dates to be confirmed with successful candidates). Osprey and Peregrine Protection Officers posts will be for approx 8 - 12 weeks respectively and their appointment and length of contract will depend on the birds' migration/breeding behaviours.

Salary: £13,000 - £15,000 per annum depending on experience and responsibilities afforded each post.
