Description and Desired Qualifications

Job Requirements


  • Support preparation of ecological and human health risk assessments for site investigations performed utilising European country specific regulations with a specific focus on the UK.

  • Completing data analysis and report writing.

  • Supporting field data collection efforts.

Basic Qualifications


  • BSc or MSc in Biology/Ecology, Chemistry, Geology, Environmental Science or equivalent; a chemistry, ecology or toxicology background preferred.

  • Some experience working on contaminated land remediation projects is preferred, ideally supporting ecological and human health risk assessments.

  • Ability to perform data analysis, write reports and prepare Excel tables; knowledge of databases and geographic information systems (e.g., ArcGIS) a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of team.

  • Knowledge of regulatory guidance and risk assessment methodologies for both human and ecological receptors an asset.

  • Interest and ability to travel periodically to support field data collection such as groundwater and soil sampling.

  • Proficient spoken and written English is required; other languages including French, Italian or Spanish are a definite plus considering the pan-Europe scope.

  • Experience working internationally with a proven capability of working across multiple cultural backgrounds an asset.
