Description

IUCN Global Ecosystem Management Programme (GEMP) is seeking a Junior Professional to gain valuable work experience by supporting the following duties:

Nature based Solutions:
• Agenda and logistics for convening regular meetings and brown bag lunches of the IUCN informal group on NbS, communicating minutes and information;
• Conduct desk research and technical support to further development of the NbS concept and its relevance to different ecosystems, societal challenges and country contexts;
• Support the design of the Nature-based Solutions (NbS) website;
• Assist in maintaining the NbS website and social media (Facebook, Twitter), in 3 IUCN languages, where applicable;
• Develop communication materials (infographic, flyer) to promote the public consultation process of the NbS Standard;
• Support the organization and delivery of awareness raising and capacity building activities;
• Other duties assigned by the supervisors, when needed

Red List of Ecosystems:
• Conduct desk based research and communications on the links between RLE and NbS;
• Assist in maintaining the RLE website and social media (Facebook, Twitter), including drafting communication materials, in 3 IUCN languages, where applicable;
• Support the RLE photo competition (coordinate with external partners, participants and IUCN Programmes, Offices and Commissions;
• Other duties assigned by the supervisors, when needed
