General responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation and delivery of projects in the field of sustainable consumption and production (SCP) and education, with a particular focus on policy development, capacity building and research in the field of environment, health, education and inter-sector cooperation.
- Supporting COH activities
- Providing input for REC COH presence in international, regional and national forums concerning environmental and health-policy development, inter-sector cooperation and local sustainable development.
Experience required
- A minimum of two years’ experience in the areas of environment, sustainable consumption, education and policy development, with particular focus on implementation of policies.
- A minimum of one year’s experience in international community work in Europe.
- Knowledge of public administration systems in the REC’s beneficiary area is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Excellent organisational and technical skills, including narrative and financial reporting.
- Experience of working in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to work with flexibility and to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent office management skills, including computer literacy.
- Availability to travel regularly in the REC’s beneficiary area.
Education required
- University degree or equivalent (higher university degree or equivalent is an asset) in a relevant field, preferably environmental science and international relations or environmental management.

This full-time position is based at the REC's head office in Szentendre, Hungary (20 km north of the Hungarian capital, Budapest). The position is for a fixed period of one year, with a possibility of extension.
