Junior Emissions Broker / Internship - Singapore

Candidate requirements

The ideal candidate will possess self-confidence as they will be supporting the origination of projects in Southeast Asia by more senior staff, attending client meetings and site visits. They will be required to attend to research of clients and preparation of client documentation along with research of industry and information about the local market. This role will involve a high level of client interaction with existing and new clients under guidance from the team, and will require the ability to build strong client relationships.

Implementation of marketing strategy, including administrative organization of workshops and conferences and client contact and relationship development, leading to origination of projects from key contacts are all essential parts of this role.The candidate must also have excellent communication and strong people skills, along with attention to detail. A good financial-based or technical-based background would also assist this role. As part of a close-knit, international team, the candidate must also demonstrate a track record of working within a team and co-ordinating team efforts. Other general duties will include making travel arrangements for TFS staff, general administration duties of the office and any other reasonable duties that may be required. To qualify, candidates should ideally be educated to degree level with a 2.1 or above, with relevant experience in industry, finance or broking, with a strong interest in the carbon markets. Excellent spoken and written English is necessary, as is willingness to travel, and strong Microsoft Office skills in Word and Excel. Fluency in a second language used in Southeast Asia / South Asia and skills in Powerpoint are also desirable.
