Description

At UNEP-WCMC we are working on some of the World’s biggest environmental challenges. We need a passionate Junior Designer to join our team to help communicate our work to a global audience.

Working with subject matter experts in the biodiversity / environment sector you will identify solutions to challenging design problems. You will be flexible and pragmatic, but also able to defend your design decisions. Working with often complex scientific data and narratives you will work hard to identify clear, creative and exciting ways to present this information to a range of audiences from global biodiversity experts to non-scientific audiences.

You will be focused on quality and attention to detail, and be driven to ensure everything you touch is something to be proud of.

You will hold a qualification in graphic, print or digital design and have at least one year of working in a commercial environment. You will also have great organisational and planning skills and will be able to deliver quality results to agreed deadlines.

If you are looking for a rewarding and challenging post, we want to hear from you. Please complete our application form and submit this with a CV and covering letter to recruitment@unep-wcmc.org by 22nd October, 2017.

We recommend you register your interest quickly, as a decision may be taken to appoint somebody ahead of the closing date.

Please note that this is not a UN post and we can only accept applications from those eligible to work in the UK.

The UN Environment World Conservation Monitoring Centre strives for a sustainable world for biodiversity and people. The Centre works towards this vision by providing strategic leadership, technical expertise, and project support to increase capacity and inspire decision makers to manage biodiversity and ecosystem services for people and the planet. The Centre has close relationships with the UN system and other partners in the public and private sector, which combines with the Centre’s extensive understanding of science and policy to produce knowledge on biodiversity and ecosystem services that makes a world of difference.
