Brief Description The Climate Change and Sustainability Services departments offers a range of advisory and assurance services on corporate governance, sustainable development and climate change and is looking for a Junior Consultant in Johannesburg to work on assignments within the broad sustainable development and climate change fields or sustainable development and corporate governance fields (this will depend on the exact background of the individual). The individual will work under the direction of a Manager/Senior Manager and will perform moderately complex, high risk or high profile individual sustainable development, climate change or corporate governance projects in line with the client's requirement and methodologies previously developed or developed for that specific assignment Responsibilities · assurance of reports and/or process obtaining documentation or evidence that supports statements in reports or process descriptions documenting and assessing the effectiveness of processes · verification of key performance indicators, performance data and carbon emissions conducting system walkthroughs completing system descriptions collecting supporting evidence to verify the indicators and data · advisory services around sustainable development and climate change benchmarking leading sustainability reporters across various industries compiling minutes of interviews documenting and analyzing the current state of activities within organizations · advisory services around corporate governance strategies, frameworks and leading practice researching best practice benchmarking companies practices to regulations or leading practice · Overall, documenting all work performed, actions taken, conclusions reached to the required standard |
