Our Wind Unit is working internationally on the realization of sustainable wind energy projects both on- and offshore. The Unit consists of about 30 people divided in 5 teams, an international mix of physicists, engineers and meteorologists. Our wind energy experts advise project developers, power companies, local and regional authorities, turbine manufacturers, financial institutions and others in the areas of Strategy, Feasibility, Development, Construction and Operations. This includes both technical and engineering work, economic analysis and due diligence. We have also launched a number of software products for supporting construction and operations.
The Wind Resource (WR) team is part of the Unit Wind and carries out projects mostly for project developers and wind farm owners. The main focus of the WR team is assessing wind resources. This includes setting up and carrying out measurement campaigns, making yield calculations for wind farms, designing wind farm layouts and to develop and afterwards operate software tools and services. An important element is working in interdisciplinary teams which have environmental, technical and economic aspects of wind projects.
To strengthen our Wind Unit, we are looking for a junior consultant who is able to grow quickly in his level of expertise and after a period of time is able to take independent responsibility for projects or clients.
Your profile
If you are enthusiastic about the job described above and you meet the following criteria, then we would be happy to meet you!
- University education in engineering, physics or meteorology;
- Experienced or have affinity with wind energy, having specific expertise in wind energy is a plus;
- Expertise in GIS and/or noise and/or Meteorology/Climatology is a plus;
- Programming skills (for example Matlab) as well as expertise in wind energy (O&M) are a plus;
- You are eager and willing to learn on the job;
- Excellent oral and written command of English;
- Driving license.
