Junior Climate Change Auditor, CHINA

Primary Responsibilities

Management and implementation of validation and verification assignments for GHG inventories and emission reduction projects under supervision of Lead Auditor.

Reporting to

Manager Climate Change Programme in China country

Specific responsibilities

•Participate in core team marketing and sales activities and support the organisation of such activities.•Monitor climate policies and new developments of GHG verification programmes.•Attend conferences and technical working groups.

Profile

•Degree or higher degree in engineering, natural resource management or other appropriate discipline.
•Auditing/consulting experience of Environmental Management Systems and/or financial auditing is a plus.
•Fluent in Chinese and in English

Skills

•Excellent communication and writing skills and fluency in English required.•Strong technical and scientific background in e.g mechanical, civil or chemical engineering, forestry.•Audit experience in greenhouse gases, ISO 9000 or ISO 14001 (preferably lead auditor qualification) is a plus. IS THIS REPETIVE FROM PROFILE?•Energy sector or other relevant experience will be an advantage.•Knowledge of GHG policies, programs, protocols and standards, in particular: CDM, WBCSD/WRI GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, VCS, CCBA.•Hands on mentality and enjoying working in complex and challenging work environments.•Ability to work under pressure and work with many tasks at the same time.•Market and customer as well as team oriented, fast learners, sharing knowledge.
