The Center for Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Policy (3CSEP) at Central European University, Budapest, is looking to hire junior researchers: building eneryg analyst and an energy modeling researcher. The researchers will contribute to the modeling of the costs related to energy and GHG emission scenarios on the role of the building sector in climate change mitigation; and to the preparation of publications based on the analysis of these results.

The tasks

To accomplish the objectives of this project the associated costs will be calculated of the existing scenarios; more analysis will be conducted, as well as a report and journal articles will be prepared. The modeling work, that is the result of many years of team effort, shows the trends of energy use dynamics in global and regional building sectors and building types. The primary element of the present work is to estimate the financial implications of the advanced scenarios and their cost-effectiveness.  The scenarios are based on the CEU 3CSEP's earlier building energy scenario work for the IPCC, the Global Energy Assessment, the UNEP SBCI. Reports and publications will need to be prepared based on the analysis of the results.
